Again.. what a long time...

It's a new year, and I still don't attend to my blogging as I should..

It's been cold, and I am working! Been at this gig for over 9 months, and things are going well. Of course it's when you get a job that things come up in your schedule as far as things that you need to do for your kids.. and there are so many things going on at the moment..

But the little house in River Pines will be ours tomorrow! I am so excited! A home in California. It doesn't get any better than that!

Fall of 2009

Time really does just fly. That 10 month old is now 18 month's old.. There is still no job on the horizon, yet life is good! We've all had the flu, our family, and our two other family friends as well. These are the people that I call "the gang". The Brazillians and the Dutchies... We have a lot of fun with these people.. at times too much...

I wish picasa wasn't such a memory hog.. I really want to add pictures to things, but everytime I run it, it gums up the works....

Maybe picasa will get better with time.. I do hope so...

So long ago....

I started this blog only to lose it.. then now find it again!

My last entry was really fun to reread. I did get a job at SixApart.. Unfortunately Visa issues prevented me from being able to continue at that position. I'd really like to have that job now! But that is the way things work out. I've had a few jobs since then, and a Green Card, so life seems pretty easy now. But I do have to ask my self.. What if??

I've been doing some other blogging lately on LiveJournal. This was a blogging service that was a part of SixApart back in the day. Now it is owned by a Russian based company. I'm blogging about life, about wine and travel and about things environmental.

Currently I'm at home with my 10 month old baby looking for a new gig. I'm a Linux/Unix Systems Administrator, and the market is a bit tight at the moment. There seem to be a lot of us out there looking for work. My last job was through the Forbin Group at a really cool company called Transpera. Economic conditions being what they are these days, I got laid off in December and have been sending out numerous resumes since.

Anyway. I'm really happy to have re-discovered this blog, and hope to do just a bit of noodling around on it on a much more regular basis. I love to talk, I love to write, and love life in general. Here's hoping I don't lose this one again!

January blues...

Yes, January 2005 is coming to a close.

It is crazy to think of just where the time is going.. seven months ago it was the
Transit of Venus, and now it's just cold and snowy.. endlessly cold and snowy.

Toronto is not the most picturesque at this time of the year. The sunrises can be
very beautiful, if it isn't just grey. I believe the sunset tonight, from what I could
see in my crazy drive to work, was quite crisp.

Just try to enjoy the sun.. when you can see it...

Venus Transit

It's a very special morning... This morning, venus is doing a transit across
the sun.
Here is an interesting page on this.
http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/sunearthday/2004/index_vthome.htm
I'm hoping to see it on my journey home this morning, but I fear
it is cloudy out.
Time to look up at the sky and realize just how small we really
are.

Instant blogs...

Really, how clever.. An instant blog for those of us who think we have
something clever to say, but are too lazy to invent the wheel yet again.

Now I can really get on a soap box and spout off about the things that
have been bothering me. Hopefully I'll do it in a sane, intelligent, and
hopefully interesting matter..

Please stay tuned.
